  @Joseph-TP Both routers are on newest firmware available, there are some client devices using a wired connection from the satellite router, so the topology is

ISP modem—AX55 Pro )))((( client devices

                           └───AX55 Pro )))((( client devices
                                        └─── 2 client devices
the satelitte router is connected to the 2.5G port on the main router. They are connected via just a cable no switch in between.

 

That's how the topology looks like when disregarding wireless connection. The 2.5G port works fine on the main router.

Thanks for getting back to us.

 

What if you connect wired clients to the 2.5G port of the satellite node? Can they access the network? 

So, you have connected the main router's 2.5G port to the satellite node's 1G LAN port, or 1G WAN/LAN port?

If possible, you can also try switching the roles of the two routers to see if the 2.5G port is not working on a specific router or only when it is used as a Satellite node.
