Model: Tapo C410   Tapo C211
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.23

Hey,

I own C211 and C410 cameras and I have a strange issue.

Outdoor camera C410 is always connected to wifi and it works normaly when I am connected to local wifi or I am away from home (LTE, 5G or other wifi)

The problem occurs when I sometimes connect my indoor camera C211. Then there are 2 scenarios:
1. When I am connected to local wifi (the same wifi as cameras), I can see both cameras stream and control them.

2. When I switch to mobile data (LTE/5G), C410 goes offline. I doesn't matter if I am inside the house or away from home. I tested and it's always the safe. I do not have any privacy mode enabled or smart actions..

Can someone tell me what's going on? It seems like C211 has some kind of advantage over C410??

Tapo C410 - hardware version V1, firmware version 1.0.23
Tapo C211 -  hardware version V2, firmwave version 1.3.11

Hi,
I misunderstood your problem, and the suggestions I provided were not appropriate, so I deleted my previous reply.

Typically, Tapo cameras in the same network will not affect each other. If the problem happens again, please confirm the following information.
  1. Check the IP addresses on both cameras.
  2. Have you enabled the Static IP address on the Tapo C410 or Tapo C211?
  3. Can you control the C211 locally and remotely after powering it on?
  4. The Tapo C211 V2 has a new firmware 1.4.4 Build 241211 Rel.42339n, you can update it via the Tapo app and check if it helps.

Best Regards

  @Solla-topee

Hey,

Camera is connected to cloud, beacuse when C211 is not connected to wifi, I can control C410 without any problems on local wifi or remotely. The problem appears when I power on C211, which I use occasionaly. So there is NO problem controling C410 anytime from anywhere. (if C211 is not powered on).

So last time I removed C211 from the app and added it again from scratch (like a new camera). The problem was fixed! I was able to control and see both cameras remotely.
However, just for a few days..

I use Archer MR400.

Best regards
