Hi all,

I have a lot of issues on my network, it completely go down  several times each day. We have to wait 15 min until it works again (LAN + internet), or I have to unplug/plug the P9 router.

I have 6 DECO P9, and I would like to know if the problem could be due to the one wich is the router. Maybe I need a specific router whic works on my mesh network ?

I have 50 devices connected on my network, and the workload of the cameras is about 20% of my 1Gbps bandwitch.

What could I do ? I need the ethernet backhaul connection ans a mesh network.

Here is my network map :

Hi, welcome to the community.

Have you seen the main Deco P9 or any satellite P9 units turn red when "the internet completely goes down several times each day"?

Can I have the model number of the "Ethernet Switch" in the topology?

-By the way, apart from the Deco P9, do you keep an ISP-provided router?

Ethernet Backhaul among Decos would highly improve the network stability. It would be much better if you could connect as many satellite P9s as possible to the nearby Ethernet switches, such as the * marked P9 here:

Thank you very much and best regards.

  @David-TP

Thanks a lot for your time,

During the issues, the main Deco P9 is always with the white light (and also all the satellites P9), and internet is still working on the ISP-provided router.

My "Ethernet Switches" are TL-SG105, TL-SG108, and TL-SG1005PV2 (all TP-Link).

Unfortunately, I cannot connect the * marked P9 by ethernet on the switches, I have no access for the wires, and this is why I have choosen DECO P9 instead of others deco, to use WIFI/CPL to connect some of them to the network.

When the DECO network is down, it's on all DECO. All the devices on the DECO network do not acces to internet or to others devices on LAN, even if i'm connected directly to the router on wifi. So I can't connect to the router to restart it.

During the issues, my ISP-provided router still work fine, and I can access to internet on its own network.

At the beginning it was only time per week, but now it's several times each day, and that's very annoying.

Do you have any others suggestions ?

  @David-TP

Do you think it coul be a network loop between 2 DECO P9 using Ethernet and wifi backhaul at the same time ?

I didn't find any specificification about network loop protocol, can you help me ?

So, after a lot of tests, and too many hours, I have found the source of my problem.

It was a network loop between 2 DECO P9, I'm amazed that there is no protection for devices using Ethernet/wifi/CPL between them...

What can I do now ? Thanks to TP-Link I can't switch off wifi backhawl, so even if I connect all of them on ethernet, I still have network loop between them...

What can I do now ?

  @Georges44 I am facing one of the same sort of issue

Did you find any solution. My all decos are on on ethernet and are installed in router mode. Sometimes when main isp goes down and comes back online, the decos are not able to provide internet. Then i have to reboot main isp and decos altogether to make it work
