Hello,

Before I went on holiday I tested the away mode and I found that all it did was stay on..It was on for 3 hours at 3 am. How is it supposed to work as I would have thought that it should be a little more random?

What's the duration you set? Try to set a short period, like 5mins, 10mins, monitor how the smart plug performs in this case.

 

Check whether the schedule feature works. If not, refer to the suggestions here. What to do if schedule/timer/away mode not working properly for Tapo smart Plug/Switch/Bulb/Light Strip
