Model: Tapo C120  
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.3

I have nine seperate C120 cameras on my property split between two differnt networks with memory cards which are setup for 24 hour recording. I drove my car past eight of these nine cameras. None of the cameras report the event on the playback timeline but all of the cameras show the detection box on screen when I watch the recorded video. Many of these cameras show many other events in the same time period. I have included screenshots of the event not showing on the timeline and the timeline earlier in the day with multiple events.

 

How could all eight cameras that show this detection box during playback but not show this detection on the timeline?

The problem may be related to the detection or the recording features. Please confirm the following information for the reported issue.

 

1. Please describe your Detection settings. For example, what detection types have you enabled? What's the sensitivity value of each enabled detection type? Is the detection zone the full screen?
If the detection zone is not the full screen, it may be the event is out of the detection zone so no detection recording is created.

 

2. Please enable the Notification feature of the camera and check if you have received a notification when the reported issue occurs.

How to configure the Notification feature for the Tapo Camera on the Tapo app?
