Access Point:
1. Login 192.168.1.1 page. Interface Setup---LAN. Change IP address to be the same subnet as the root router. Eg. if Router‘s IP is 192.168.0.1, change W8951's IP to 192.168.0.2. Save it.
2. Go to change SSID and secure the Wi-Fi network.
3. Disable DHCP in last step.
Done.

Hi Mavis
1. You say change the subnet to be the same as the main root router but the example is different. Which is it?
2. What do I do with the SSID? make one up?
3. When you say secure it do you mean set the WSPK etc ? Do the passwords of the Root router have to be the same as the Access Point or can they be different?
4. Where do you disable the DHCP.
Pl;ease forgive me I am new to this and I am away from the AP etc so I can not see any of the pages you describe until I get back to the building.
Thanks for your assistance

You should go back and login configuration page of W8951ND before you ask so many questions...
1. Change IP address to be the same subnet as the root router. I didn't say change IP address to be the same. Do you know IP address of your root router?
2&3. You can configure the same SSID, security settings and password as the root router or different ones.
4. On web interface, go to Interface Setup---LAN and you will see DHCP. You can choose Disabled and Ssve it.
