Hi, the official release has already started. As the release process is based on the region codes as well as the MAC addresses, I can't say for sure when you can detect this version directly through the Deco APP. You will receive a new firmware push notification when 1.7.0 is ready for your device.
Best regards.

Hi David,
This is great to see my M4's officially move up to Firmware Platform 1.8.0. Is it likely that the development teams will continue pushing features into them, or will they switch focus to one of the other Deco models now?
Cheers,
Karl

I would assume this is pretty much it in terms of updates. I guess if some absolutely show-stopping bug comes up they might fix it or if they can easily merge some fixes from other models they might release that, but it's not very likely that the M4 will get any specific updates anymore.
I hope there'll at least be some security/CVE updates in the future, but TBH I'm not even counting on that since it's a pretty old and obsolete model already...

@klellman @McFox According to this page (Duration of Security Support), M4 will get updates till February 2028 at least.
Not sure if V2 will continue to get updates till then, but hoping for it.
