Hi,after Tapo updated when I went back to Tapo app it was like it was from new.I had to log in and it went through the stages of how to use the app.My 2 cameras were on but the names I had given them had changed and now even though I am logged in it says I don't have permission to alter the settings.How do I get to use the settings again? Thankyou

Hi,
It may be you log in to the Tapo app with the shared account so that you can't change the camera's settings. Please confirm the following information for further analysis.


  1. Please send me(@Solla-topee) your camera's MAC address and the TP-Link ID(email address) you used to log in to the Tapo app via a private message.
  2. Do you have a problem after the Tapo app update? What's the Tapo app version(you can find the version on the Tapo app > Me > About page)?
  3. Could you please send me a picture of the camera's Live View page or Device Settings page?
