Model: Archer AX53
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.4.3 Build 20250314 rel.78903

Hello,

I've just did the firmware upgrade on my archer ax53 to the beta version 1.4.3 Build 20250314 rel.78903.

This version should support Ethernet backhauling.

And indeed when I look on my main router archer ax53 v2 I see that "ethernet backhauling" is connected

If i do speedtest on the satellite ax53 v1 with the beta firmware, I get a max speed of 100Mb/s on 5ghz (2402/2402)

However the routers are connected directly to each other with a Cat 6 cable and the tool shows the following:

If I unplug the cable the satellite router archer ax53 goes to wireless backhauling.

Speed on 5ghz (2402/2402) goes to +/- 500Mb/s what is acceptable.

Why is speed so slow on ethernet backhauling?

Both routers are directly connected to each other without a switch in between.

Kind regards

  @Joseph-TP

Got it fixed.

I think i have a port who is faulty on my archer ax53.

Everything I connect on the port gets negotation om 100Mb/s.

Other ports 1000Mb/s.

Did test with mutliple different cat 6 cables and same result.

For now I use the faulty port for my printserver.

Other port for ethernet backhauling at 1000Mb/s.

So problem kinda sold.

Kind regards

Hi@Thunderchild,

Thank you for reporting your issue to our community.

For your issue, could you please try different cables between routers?

Please remove the satellite router, and test the wired speed on the main router via PC.

In addition, please try different LAN ports on both the main router and satellite router.

Feel free to reply here if you have any update.

Hi @Thunderchild,

Thank you for your reply and detailed test results.

This seems to be a hardware problem with a specific Ethernet port. If you can keep the settings as they are, which is also a good choice.

If you want to replace the router, you can also contact local support.

If there are any updates in the future, please feel free to contact us.
