Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.3.16

Why do shortcuts and automations sometimes stop working? Also, saved tags or positions are deleted. I log into the camera and I can see the live video, but I can't control it. I have to unplug it and everything works again. Why does this happen? And what does the auto-restart do? Could this help?

Hi,
The Auto Reboot feature allows you to specify a time when the device will reboot automatically. In your case, you can try to enable the Auto Reboot feature, select a Reboot Time, and then check if your camera will work better.

 

Please confirm the following information if the problem remains.
  1. What's the LED status on the camera when the problem happens? How often do you need to reboot the camera to make it work again?
  2. What's the model number of your router? Please describe your network diagram in detail, for example, internet--router )))((( Tapo camera, etc.
  3. Please ensure your Tapo app is up to date. If not, uninstall it and reinstall it for a try.
