Model: Tapo C520WS
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Hi my name is anger. I'm just writing this to let them know that the settings in these cameras are ridiculous because if you get a power outage or Wi-Fi down, you need to factory reset the whole thing again. By pushing the reset button on the back of the camera it should be automatically reconnected in this day and age. This is ridiculous. If I knew this I would not have bought this product

Hi,
Usually, the Tapo camera will reconnect to the original Wi-Fi after the router is turned on. If the camera does not reconnect to the original Wi-Fi, please try the following steps.

  1. Reboot the router and make sure the Wi-Fi is working.
  2. Disable the Smart Connect function on the router if it has this feature.
  3. Set Different Wi-Fi names for 2.4GHz and 5GHz Bands on the router if possible.
  4. Turn off the camera and turn it back on, then check if it will reconnect to the Wi-Fi.

Best Regards
