Hello,

 

For about three weeks now, we experience a strange problem with our router. Mostly in the evening, as we use it, some sites that were normally reachable suddenly become unreachable. This uses to last until we launch a soft reboot of the router, by the GUI.

 

Sometimes, we have to reboot it several times until sites become reachable again.

 

We have the same problem on both our computers, one is connected with an Ethernet cable, the other with wi-fi.

 

Our ISP is Free (France).

 

The ISP file is up-to-date, as the firmware is. We tried other DNS, activated IPv6 on the router and so on, and the problem still persists.

 

Do you have any clue?

Hi, thanks for the update.

What are the websites that become unreachable?

Would there be any error message? I think you can refer to this link to further check the site loading process via Chrome development tools

Can't Access Certain Websites or Apps

 

I would think different web servers might have different session timeout settings. For some sites, if the loading time takes longer, the access request might be directly abandoned, while others might be held for a while before providing a response.

Hi, have you checked whether all mobile devices have a similar issue simultaneously? or just several devices had this issue?

I don't think the issue may be with the router itself. It is more like the evening is internet-use rash time, and the cell tower is overloaded.

We usually have two computers simultaneously connected to the router, but the same problem occurs on a thrid one which I tried to connected when the network seems to fail. The results are the same, the exact same sites are unreachable.

 

Maybe I'm wrong, but if it was a rush-hour problem, all sites would be unreachable or slow to respond, wouldn't they?

 

Also, we didn't experiment that problem before, and we have the router for about one year now.
