Hello. I just bought a Tapo P100 smart plug, and I connected my router to it. So if I turn off the plug, the internet goes down.

 

My question is:

 

I just scheduled the plug to turn off at 8:00 on Sundays and restart at 8:01. If the router turns off (with the 8:00 scheduled action) will the command to restart at 8:01 still work?

 

I hope you understand my question.

You can use plug's schedule feature rather than the smart action, the latter can't work without internet.

 

Smart plug's schedule continues to work even when the Internet or wifi is down, as long as the plug itself remains powered on. If the smart plug experiences a power cut, it will need to connect to the internet to resync device's time to make sure all time-based setting are back to work. How to Set up Schedule, Away Mode, and Timer for Smart Plug in Tapo App
