Hi! I'm having a strange issue with all my Deco S7 units (3 of them), i already have a site configured through the Deco App and joined all my units, they are working (fine?) until you make some network traffic through the wifi or ethernet (i.e doing speedtest). When you do this the main Deco just crash and restart, obviously losing the connection on my devices.

 

I already tried to configure the site with just 1 Deco, 2 Deco, exchange the main Deco between the other two, router mode and AP mode, disconnecting all the devices from the ethernet and wifi just keeping the main Deco and my ISP router, downgrading firmware to previous version, upgrading the firmware again, change all the ethernet cables with new ones, made new TPLink account and create a completely new site with different name, network, etc.

Anything of this solved the issue, at this point i think the units are just broken but is so strange that the three of them are broken.

 

I need some advice or comments from people who has or had this issues and how to resolve them or official support.

May I know how long you have had the Deco S7?Did the issue start recently?

 

Can you consistently reproduce this issue in a short time?

If yes, I'd like to follow up on your case via email. Our engineer might help to identify the root cause.

 

By the way, may I know your internet service provider? How about the model number of the ISP modem router/gateway?

  @David-TP hi, I also have an S7 on my network (not the main node). This S7 unit keeps on restarting by itself, its like bootlooping. I had this issue for almost 2 weeks now. I only noticed this when this node keeps disconnecting on my deco app. I already tried to reset it two times. The issue still exists.

Hi, thank you very much for the feedback.

May I know how long you have had Deco S7?

Can you record a video clip of the auto-rebooting process?

 

Did you use the original power adapter?

It is also suggested to swap the power adapter of the auto-rebooting Deco with another power adapter of the working Deco S7s to see whether it helps.

By the way, can I have the firmware version of the Deco?

  @David-TP Hi, Ive had my Deco S7 for almost 2 years now. Yes, im using the adapter that came from its box. Regarding using the other adapter from another S7, i cant because this is the only S7 on my network, the other nodes are Deco E4 and an X10. The current firmware is 1.5.2 Build 20240927 Rel. 68997.

  @mateogal You are not alone. My X50-5G goes down repeateadly multiple times daily it drove me nuts. Still not a fix that managed to solve the issue after 1 1/2 years. Gave up.

  @gnz mine keeps crashing and restarting every minute (not an exaggeration). Its not usuable at this point.
