Model: Deco X60
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.3.0 build 20240830

Hi all. I'm not a-techinal but after 2 full days of trying I have still got a unstable system. I have 4 deco's now and the reliability and signal is still poor and the system is unstable. Moreover even when i put the deco's in line of sight the signal between decos is still only 2 green bars and not 3. Before I go back to my limited but working fibre gateway hub and tp-link extender and return the units to Amazon is there anyone out there who can give me an informative thread/guidelines that shows me what I should do to ensure it is not me or something else at fault. Thanks in advance best garno

  @garno

Hi, nice to see you again.

If there are many smart home devices in the current Mesh Network, it is suggested to install the following beta version:

Deco X60_V3 1.3.0_build_20250217_Beta

It allows Deco units under the same Mesh to automatically use non-overlapping channels for mobile devices, which would greatly improve the 2.4GHz network stability.

As for the "poor signal", do you still refer to the WiFi Backhaul signal source strength on the satellite units?

Currently, Deco App can't display the Mesh Backhaul connection speed on the satellite units. You can check the "Signal Source" on each satellite X60 to make sure they are connected to the nearest Deco, and the WiFi Backhaul uses both 2.4+5Ghz bands.

Deco is a highly automated product that typically requires minimal additional configurations. It is very unlikely that network stability issues were caused by specific network configurations.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.
