H200 range is useless
Hi,
I've just bought the C420S2, got it all connected, added the SD card to the hub, then positioned one camera at the front of the house and the other at the back. Neither camera can now connect to the hub. Surely this is a common problem since the hub appears to have such a weak range? Do I have to buy another hub and another SD card, and place each hub within inches of each camera?
Thanks.

For single-side installation setups where cameras are placed on one side of the router, adding a hub extends the maximum installation distance. In this case, the camera's optimal range equals the maximum distance between the router and hub plus the maximum distance between the hub and camera. Using a wired connection for the hub can further increase this maximum distance.
However, if you need to install cameras in opposite directions from the router or Hub (dual-side installation), we recommend purchasing an additional Hub. This is because in such configurations, each camera's maximum installation distance is determined solely by its connection to the nearest Hub.

Thanks @Wayne-TP. Would be good if that was make clearer in the product info though. Do I also need an SD card for the second hub?

This information can actually be inferred from the product features. Tapo SubGHz devices must connect to a hub and cannot connect directly to a router. Therefore, their connection range is centered around the hub, not the router. You can learn more about this in this article: TP-Link Sub-GHz Technology Brings the New Tapo Lineup of Smart Hub, Sensors,Switches and More
An additional SD card is required for the new hub if you need to record videos from the camera.
