Model: Tapo C230
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.1 Build 250107

Hi guys,

first of all thanks for the thread on how to setup the Tapo C2xx cameras in BlueIris. Got it working now with PTZ. I also got Audio working one way meaning I can hear if someone speaks in the Camera room, but I cannot speak back via BlueIris. When I use the Tapo App, it does work both ways.

I tried the different decoders and I also tried the compabitlity mode in the Camera settings without success. How do I get the speaking two ways accomplished via BlueIris please?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
As you can see in "Frequently Asked Questions > Q5" of the following instructions. The ONVIF standard includes multiple profiles, and the Tapo Camera only supports Profile S. This profile does not include 2-way audio. Profile S only covers basic functionalities such as video/audio streaming, network configuration, event handling, and P&T control.

Thank you for pointing me to the currently supported profile S. I also see that my post is in the feature request section. Please consider this as a feature request as I will stick to my Foscam cameras until you support 2 way audio. Thank you.

Hi,
Please describe your usage scenario and explain why you need the requested feature. Generally speaking, if you have a request for two-way talk, you can also achieve this through the Tapo app.
Best Regards
