Model: Deco X50
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.10 Build20241105 Rel.40010

Please give us the same priority. I'm a user of Deco Mesh X50 (US) V1.30. My router is close to me but still connects automatically to 2.4 GHz. Why not 5 GHz? Even though there is no option to change separate SSIDs. Channel number also fixed. manually can't change.

Hi, thanks for the message.

Deco X50_V1.3-1.2.10 supports IoT Network. It is recommended to set the main WiFi network to 5GHz only and enable IoT network for the 2.4 GHz band.

Best regards.

@Rakib10 The latest firmware for X50 V1 (US) is 1.6.7. update to that, maybe it'll give you the "connection preference" feature that you're looking for.

You can't manually change channels or create separate SSIDs in Deco routers. The workaround for the 2nd one is to set your guest network to 2.4 Ghz only & set your main network to 5 Ghz only

Just a M4 (2-pack) user who regrets buying it
