  @RRR01 Well, did you know that even though Deco X50v1.30 is the US version, no firmware update can be found on the US website, I think TP Link is still in that early era which is not suitable for the current times. Note that the Deco X50 has been released in many different variants or versions. It is very tough to see whether the customers are happy with it. Now, let's talk about the market. A new company named Cudy has won the hearts of customers in a few days. It is not only cheap but also very advanced in terms of service. However, TP Link has not been able to provide it yet and it is uncertain whether it will be from TP Link. As a Bangladeshi customer, I am saying that TP Link will have to pay a big loss soon just for these mistakes of theirs.

It's worth noting that there are Deco models that support channel selection/ECO and other advanced features, and the entire Archer series is capable of channel/channel width adjustments. If the current model doesn't meet your requirements, feel free to explore different models or brands that better suit your needs.

I’d like to clarify that I purchased the Deco X50 v1.30 (US firmware) less than three months ago—specifically because I trusted TP-Link’s reputation for reliability and long-term support. I’m not looking to switch or explore other brands; I invested in this product expecting ongoing firmware development and modern feature support.

The hardware is excellent, but I’m concerned about the lack of updates—especially with features like WireGuard VPN, DNS-over-TLS/QUIC, and DNS-over-HTTPS. These are important for privacy and modern network configurations.

Could you please raise this with your technical team and let us know whether there’s a plan or timeline to implement these features for this model?

If there were any promising timelines about certain models, I'm always glad to share them with the community users. Unfortunately, there hasn't been one for Deco X50_V1.30/1.33.

I saw that many users here are from Bangladesh. If possible, maybe you can also reach out to the local technical support and ask whether they might have any further news of this specific hardware version.

Just to clarify, I’ve already reached out locally—I have a friend at Excel BD (official distributor here), and unfortunately, they’ve confirmed there’s no additional information available from their end regarding firmware updates for Deco X50 v1.30/1.33.

 

It’s clear that many users here, especially from Bangladesh, are using this specific hardware version. Given that, I believe it would be really helpful if you could raise this matter internally on behalf of all Deco X50 v1.30/1.33 users. You’re in the best position to represent our concerns to the technical or firmware team.

 

We would deeply appreciate your support in making sure this issue is heard.

@RRR01 I was mistaken there...V1 is not equal to v1.3.

 

There wasn't any option to select firmware specifically for V1.3 on the US website, that's why I incorrectly assumed that V1=V1.3

 

As for the message, it means that you can use V1.20 firmware for V1.26/V1.28 hardware versions etc.

  @ImtiazAli I know you are a Bengali so I tell you to do a little research in the markets that nowadays people are buying products only based on their previous reputation TP link will lag behind in market policy for themselves at some point, because technology means something new which has to keep up with the times but they are still forcing us to use the old system which is cheating the customers and taking money now there is no shortage of brands which are giving much better and better service than them. I had a lot to say but I didn't say it because they removed the comment again, there are some groups on Facebook in which this Deco X50v1.30 is being talked about, I request you to come and see.

  @Shantanu16 Here, when it comes to local technical support, they have given them a thumbs up. This TP Link company brings its products to Bangladesh, which I have added a picture of. Take a look at what is available in Excel BD and what is available in other online shops. I have contacted many official local technical support people. They are saying that they themselves are in many cases. You can see that even if you report a situation, it is not working, but they have their own objections. Now think about the situation of the customers.
