Notification problem
Tuesday
Model: Tapo D235
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.19

just got this doorbell. All set up etc. But notifications take ages to come through. For example press the doorbell and it takes 8 sometimes 10 seconds to actually notify me on my phone ( iphone16 pro). All notifications are set up properly via tapo app and device settings. WiFi signal to the doorbell if full bar.  Any one help out before it gets returned. Instant notification with my old blink and ring doorbells

Hi,
On the Tapo app, go to the Home tab and click the bell icon in the top right corner. You can then find your doorbell and view received notifications. Please check if the notifications received in the Tapo app will be delayed.
Best Regards

@Solla-topee as i said they're delayed by 8/9 seconds. Which makes the doorbell not fit for purpose

Hi,
1. You mentioned that the notification on your iPhone is delayed rather than on the Tapo app in your original post, which is different. Please refer to this post to check if the notification is delayed in the Tapo app.

2. Please provide more information about the reported phenomenon for further analysis.
  1) Do you have a delayed notification on your iPhone only when someone presses the doorbell, or does this occur even when the camera detects events, such as motion, person, or pet?
  2) On the doorbell camera's Device Settings > Doorbell > Doorbell Video Call page, which option have you selected?
  3) Please try to reproduce the delay notification phenomenon, record the date, time, and time zone when you press the doorbell camera, and send me (@Solla-topee) the camera's MAC address and time info via a private message for further analysis.

Best Regards
