Issues with WifI Lights - still dropping off
Hello everyone,
I'm still having issues with my Deco setup and my 2.4ghz downlights.
I have 3 x BE65, all wired together with Cat 6 at 3 points in the house. I also have a BE25 in the Garage further away that connects on Wifi.
I've used the IOT network and the normal Wifi. I've got 2.4 at 20Mhz and the channel to be Auto. It doesn't appear to matter what I change here, but 40 / Auto is definately worse. There are no other issues with other devices in the house. I've joing the 2.4/5/6 together with the new feature. All my IOT devices are on a 2.4 band.
There were no problems with the lights before the Deco Mesh.
I see the lights connect to the further Deco (BE25) in the garage and wont move back. I've also turned these on in phase, so that the lights connect to the one either in the bedrom (main unit) or lounge. They have green full strenght signal. When the drop off randomly, I reset them and they come online again.
All devices in the house are on static addressed allocated by DHCP in the Deco. I've been a networking enginerr for 20+ years and this one is very frustrating. I still beleive that there are issues with the 2.4 band and much of the new technology.
Why doesn't the device stick or move to the allocated wifi unit as set in the App? Why would differnet units drop off after time, when the rest work?
Thanks
Greg.
