There's something I don't quite understand.

I have an SD card in my camera. From my understanding, the camera will continue to record even without a WIFI connection since it will just record to its local storage(the micro SD card). I don't have the best WIFI connection so my live stream blurs sometimes which is fine... or so I thought. What I don't understand is... why are the saved recordings just the live stream rather than what the camera is actually recording internally? If my live video blurs for a bit due to bad connection... the saved recording also shows the blur etc. Shouldn't the recording be exactly what the camera sees and not just the live view? This doesn't make sense to me. For example.with dashcams you can view the live view which looks like crap but the video recordings are directly from the dashcam and are usually in the specified quality (2k for example). This camera doesn't seem to do that.

Hi,

Please confirm the following information for the reported phenomenon.

  1. How often does the blur live feed occur? How long does the blur live feed last?

  2. Please check the option selected on the camera's Device Settings > Video & Display > Video Quality page in the Tapo app.

  3. When the live feed is blurry, please tap the Record button on the camera's Live View page to record it manually and then download the video to your phone. Then, please download the corresponding video clip from the SD card to your phone, download a normal video clip to your phone, and then send us the video clips for further analysis.

You can upload the video clips to your cloud server (such as Google Drive), generate a download link, and send it to me (@Solla-topee) via a private message.

Best Regards
