Phenomenon:

We have received user feedback that upgrading the Archer AX50 V1 to firmware 1.1.1 may result in abnormal behaviors such as increased CPU usage, network instability, and reduced network speed. These abnormal behaviors vary from person to person and may not necessarily have a significant impact on network performance.

Available Solution:

The following solutions can be used as a reference based on your individual situation.

Solution 1:

If your network functions normally or the impact is not significant after updating to the latest firmware version, it is recommended that you continue using the latest firmware. This will maintain the normal use of Homecare functionality, allowing you to continue enjoying new features and enhancements.

Solution 2:

If your network performance has degraded after updating the firmware, we suggest the following steps:
1. Delete the parental control configuration file and disable QoS and Traffic Monitor functions to see if there is any improvement.

2. If possible, disable Real-Time Protection for comparison. On the main page of the Tether app, scroll down and find the Real-Time Protection section:

Solution 3:

If Solution 2 doesn't help, you can consider rolling back to the previous firmware. However, please note that after rolling back, the Homecare function may not work properly. Please make sure you don't need Homecare before rolling back the firmware.

1. First of all, please update to the following beta firmware:

2. Then download the 1.0.X firmware from the official website.
3. Downgrading directly to the previous version via the Web UI: How to upgrade the firmware on the TP-Link Wi-Fi Routers?

Note:

  • Please be sure you have read the Beta Test Agreement before upgrading the pre-release firmware!
  • For the sake of insurance, it's always recommended to save a copy of the router's Backup Config file before upgrading or downgrading.

If you want to maintain Homecare functionality while ensuring stable network performance, please provide the following information:
1. Complete network topology.
2. Specific problem description, such as network instability or decreased wireless speed.
3. Save the Archer AX50 backup file and system log:
