What lines is my camera able to say?

Hello guys!

I need some help with my camera since I never came across this issue before, and neither has my friend with his.

According to my mother, my camera spoke at night about 2am yesterday. (Happened twice, once 8-9 pm, and second like I said 2am) Now asked me if the camera is able to make AI lines like "Insert sd card" or things like that, you get me right? Robotic lines. And she mentioned it sounded more like a human, she said it was almost the same as when I speak through the app. Now my fear is was it someone else or was it the camera itself.

I asked her what it said, she sadly said she doesn't know because it was English. It being English tipped me off and made me rethink maybe it wasn't a human since I live in a country where German is spoken. When I pressed more and asked for more details, I told her to tell me how long the sentence at 2 am was, I told her some classic AI lines and she told me it was probably the length of "please insert sd card" but said she isnt stupid and knows simple words so the word 'please' wasnt one of those words.

and also does someone now how to fix the all times recording thing, my camera stopped recording everything suddenly and I cant rewind to accidents/occurrences like this one. (I already tried cleaning my Sd card and rebooting and formatting it)

please guys if anyone knows, let me know!

that was all, thank you!

Hi,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns regarding your camera. We take your data security very seriously, and for your concerns, please refer to the following suggestions.

1. Our cameras have some built-in voice prompts in English. If you hear a sound coming from the camera, it may be due to your settings or operations that caused the camera to issue a built-in voice prompt.

2. Tapo cameras support two-way audio, which allows users to communicate with people near the camera using the 'Talk' and 'Voice Call' features in the Tapo app. If someone else can speak to you through the camera, it indicates they have access to the camera's audio features, possibly via a shared account or device. You can follow the steps below to check whether your Tapo account or camera has been shared with others.
  a. Go to the Tapo app > Me > View Account > Login Security > Login Activity to see if there are any unfamiliar devices or users.
  b. Also, check device sharing in the Tapo app under Me > Device Sharing.

3. If your camera is connected to third-party devices (such as Alexa Echo, Google Home, Chromecast, or ONVIF clients), disconnect them to ensure only authorized users have access.

Below are some security recommendations:
  1. Please refer to the following instructions to stop sharing your camera with others.
How to share my Tapo Smart Devices with family

  2. Refer to the following instructions to change the password of your TP-Link account regularly.
What can I do if I forget my password of the cloud account

  3. Enable the 2FA feature on the Tapo app to protect your account.

For further assistance, we suggest contacting the technical support team.

Best Regards

Hi,
For the recording phenomenon, please confirm the following information for further analysis.

  1. What are the Tapo camera's model number, hardware version, and firmware version?

  2. What's your SD card's model number and capacity?

  3. If you have formatted the SD card in the Tapo app but no new video recordings are stored on it, please refer to the instructions below to check if your storage settings are correct.
How can I store the Tapo camera video recordings on a microSD card

  4. If you have a different SD card, you can insert it into the camera, format it in the Tapo app, configure the storage settings, and check if the new recordings can be stored on it.

Best Regards
