Hello,

I'm using an EX520 router as the main router (EasyMesh Controller) and I have an AX10 used as extender (EasyMesh Agent). While the connection between the two routers is wireless, everything works fine, but due to the obstacles between them I set up a wire (Cat 6).

Speed gets better while using the wire but I'm getting timeouts from time to time (while monitoring with ping to a known address like www.google.com) also at some point (I'm unable to tell exactly, but it is usually hours) the led on the wire connection turns orange and remains like this until I restart the AX10 router.

I did a factory reset to the to the AX10 router and restarted the setup from scratch, I also changed the cable between the two routers without any change.
Any ideas on what might be the cause, or anything I can try?

Thanks!

Hello @c0mas ,

Welcome to our community.

When experiencing network lag, please test the main router's network for comparison, especially with a wired connection. You'll need to unplug the AX10 cable and test the main router's network using the same cable.

In addition to replacing the cable, please also try different Ethernet ports on both routers.

Have you tried to set the Archer AX10 as the main router?

I tested the main router connection and is stable, the problem seems somewhere between the two (also pointed by the orange led on the AX10).

The moment I pull out the wire or when I stop AX10 the connection starts working.

I also tried assigning a static ip to AX10 (outside the DHCP auto-assigned range), again without effect.

I did tested with different ports on the AX10 (same result) I will test with different ports on the main router.

Unfortunately I cannot swap the router roles since the main router is set up by the internet provider.

Are there collisions or some kind of accidental loops between the routers possible?
