Deco X50 IGMP settings
Dear Community,
This weekend I installed my Deco X50 set (4 devices).
Before I had KPN Superwifi accesspoints in the same spots.
The problem now is, when using KPN TV, this will only work for a few seconds, then the TV stops working.
The TV-box is connected by wire to the Deco AP.
(The other TV-box in the livingroom is directly connected to the network and is working fine)
It seems it has something to do with IGMP settings. Unfortunatly in the 1.7.1 firmware, the IGMP settings are not available in the webinterface or in the Deco app....
Configuring the Deco as router is not really an option because the DHPC cannot be turned off as I understood...
There's also no configurable IGMP option available in the KPN Experiabox V12 modem for the users.
Switching back to the SuperWifi AP's from KPN is also not an option...
Any ideas how this can be fixed ?

Hi, welcome to the community.
Did you set Deco X50 into Access Point mode?
The problem now is, when using KPN TV, this will only work for a few seconds, then the TV stops working.
The TV-box(#1) is connected by wire to the Deco AP.
(The other TV-box(#2) in the livingroom is directly connected to the network and is working fine)
-Do you mean "the other TV-box" is connected to the KPN box 12 directly?
-Does only TV box#1 fail to work smoothly?
I think Deco could properly forward the IGMP traffic in the Access Point.
If possible, it is recommended to install the latest 1.8.0 firmware herer to see whether it made any difference:
Deco X50_V1_1.8.0 Significantly Expanded the Client Connection Details and Added Channel Selection
Best regards.

@David-TP Thanks for your answer!
At the moment only the TV-Box that is connected to the Deco is experiencing these issues.
The other TV-Box is indeed connected directly to the V12 Modem / Router from my ISP.
I was already thinking about installing the 1.8 firmware, But some of the features will not be available, such as EasyMesh.
The other thing is, i'm not sure the options for IGMP Snooping are availabel in the 1.8 version.
Kind regards,
Chris

Hi, thank you very much.
The release note of 1.8.0 on Deco X50 didn't mention any changes to the IGMP Snooping. I think there would be an extra on/off switch, either.
As I don't think it is related to the IGMP settings, the 1.8.0 version is still worth a try.
Since you mentioned "EasyMesh", have you configured this feature with any EasyMesh-compatible devices? I saw you only mentioned 4*Deco X50s, which don't actually need "EasyMesh".
How about the network layout between the V12 Modem / Router and Deco, such as:
V12 Modem / Router ---<cable>----main Deco X50, the other three satellite Deco X50s all wirelessly connected to the main Deco X50
-then the second TV box is wired to one of the satellite Deco X50
Would there be any error message when the second TV box stopped working?
Wait for your reply.
Best regards.

@David-TP
Hi and thanks for the reply :-)
The layout you mentioned of my network setup is indeed how it's connected.
So : V12 modem / router ----Cable to main X50 ---> wireless connection to sattelites.
The distance between the mail deco and the sattelite that is connected to my TV-Box by wire is not that much, so that shouldn't be an issue.
With all other devices wirelessly connected to this deco I don't have any issues at all.
I've received new TV-boxes from my ISP, and these boxes seem to work a little bit better, but still experiencing the issue that the screen freezes.
But there is one huge difference between the old box used, and this new one :
I Can select in the screen settings the option for Multicast or Unicast.
The multicast setting is causing the issues, but the problem is, when I select unicast, the picture quality is much less then multicast.
The TV-Box directly connected to my V12 modem is working fine on the multicast setting.
The forums from the ISP are also mentioning the IGMP Snooping as an issue, and the fun part is, with their own AccessPoints from the ISP it was working fine (KPN SuperWiFI).
But the issue with these accesspoints was, they only have 1 RJ45 connection available and the other issue, whey weren't WiFi6 Capable.
Kind regards,
Chris
