Hello @Joseph-TP  ,

Thank you for your reply.

Yes, my network topology matches the diagram you provided:

                         ┌── Wired clients (~10 devices)
ISP modem — Archer BE800 V1 )))((( Wi-Fi clients (~20 devices)
                         └─── DHCP server (Archer BE800)

  • When I disable “IP & MAC Binding”, all clients (Wi-Fi and Ethernet) regain full network access immediately.

  • When I enable “IP & MAC Binding”, only devices with fixed IP addresses can access the network. Devices using DHCP cannot access the network, whether Wi-Fi or Ethernet.

I have prepared the system logs and the router backup archive as requested and can provide them to the engineers for analysis.

I am happy to cooperate with further testing or remote analysis to help reproduce and resolve the issue.

Thank you for escalating this to the support engineers.

Hi @Torvast ,

As Bluefish91 said, the cause has been identified. You can remove any duplicates on the IP&MAC Binding and Address Reservation page.

I've had a remote session with an engineer this morning and they debugged my BE800. The outcome of the session is there is indeed a bug between the IP & MAC Binding feature and the DHCP server, especially (for what I've understanded) when there a duplicates between the IP & MAC Binding and address reservations in the DHCP Server. They will soon release a new firmware which will address this bug. For now, I think it's best to remove any duplicates or don't use the IP & MAC Binding feature at all to avoid any issues like we've had...

Hello @Joseph-TP and @Bluefish91 ,

Thank you for your guidance regarding duplicates.

I have removed the only duplicate entry I had in my IP & MAC Binding list (Blink Sync Module 2), but the issue is still present.

Current behavior after cleanup:

  • Devices with fixed IP addresses continue to have network access.
  • Devices using automatic IP (DHCP), whether on Wi-Fi or Ethernet, still cannot access the network.
  • This occurs immediately when IP & MAC Binding is enabled.

This suggests that the issue may occur even without duplicates, and maybe could be related to an interaction between the IP & MAC Binding feature and the DHCP server in this pre-release firmware. I may also have missed something on my side, but the only workaround for now is to disable the blocking option.

Thanks again for escalating this, and I look forward to testing the upcoming firmware fix.

Did you reboot the BE800 after you've removed the duplicates? We've removed the duplicates and rebooted immediately hereafter, when the BE800 came back online after he rebooted, every connected device came back online.

  @Bluefish91

Yes, I have completely removed the IP reservation for the device that was declared twice, and I rebooted the BE800 afterward.

However, the issue still persists when the IP & MAC Binding option is enabled.
For now, the only solution on my side is to disable this option until the fix in the upcoming firmware is released.

Same issue here, enabling it and DHCP users have issues. I've no duplicates.

Hi @Torvast ,

Thanks for your feedback.

I have reported your case to the engineers, and they have conducted further analysis on the backup files and system log you provided.

If there are any updates, we will contact you as soon as possible.

Hi @mizwdev ,

For further analysis, please help us collect the following info:

May I know if your network topology diagram is as follows:

ISP modem—Archer BE800—Archer BE550)))((( client devices

                          └───DHCP Server

(Note: — stands for wired connection,)))((( stands for wireless connection )

What is the LED status of the router now?

What is the network backhaul between the BE550 and BE800? Ethernet or Wireless?

Have you recently updated the BE550-v2 to a pre-release firmware version?

Have you tried rebooting the whole network and the DHCP server? Do you have other DHCP servers in the network?
