I have a Deco X10-4g which I have purchased second hand from a person in Austria. The firmware is 1.0.5 Build 20240821 Rel. 41763 and firmware update through the app shows "no updates". However, different tp-link sites list 1.2.0 as the latest version.

I do understand that different regions may have different firmware and I couldn't find an "Austria" website. Which firmware (and from where) should I download?

Hi, the latest firmware for Deco X1500-4G is also 1.2.0 Build 20250719 Rel. 64158.

You can download the 1.2.0 firmware for Deco X10-4G from the EN site:https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/deco-x10-4g/#Firmware

The bin file also works for Deco X1500-4G_V1.

Hi David, thanks for the reply. Unfortunately this didn't work. The only step I didn't follow is having to connect with an ethernet cable to my deco, as I do not currently have any device capable.

 

I tried several times, also after rebooting the decos but after the firmware upload I get the following error "Upgrade failed. Please select the latest version of firmware to upgrade."

 

Any suggestions?
