internet unstable with this device
Since migrating my home network from a Linksys router to a TP-Link BE9300 (Wi-Fi 7) as the main router, I have been experiencing severe and persistent internet connectivity issues.
Current network topology
-
TP-Link BE9300 – main router (routing/NAT enabled)
-
Deco M4R #1 – connected directly to the BE9300 (same room)
-
Deco M4R #2 – located in the living room (~9 meters away)
-
RE315 repeaters (x2) – approximately 10 meters from the main router
-
RE505X – located in a separate room
-
Goal: cover basement and main floor
Problem description
Since this setup was deployed:
-
Internet connectivity is unstable
-
Deco units stop functioning every ~2 hours
-
When the issue occurs:
-
Wi-Fi clients can no longer connect
-
Deco devices appear online but enter a loop / become unresponsive
-
Only a reboot temporarily restores connectivity
-
-
The issue repeats consistently and predictably
Additional observations
-
These problems did not exist with the previous Linksys router
-
The instability occurs regardless of client device type
-
The behavior suggests issues with:
-
mesh coordination
-
routing/NAT interaction
-
or firmware stability when multiple TP-Link mesh/extender devices are present
-
Impact
The network is currently not reliable for daily use, as Wi-Fi connectivity drops multiple times per day and requires manual intervention.
I am requesting:
-
clarification on supported topologies for BE9300 + Deco + range extenders
-
confirmation whether this mixed setup is officially supported
-
guidance on required configuration changes or
-
confirmation of a known firmware issue
At this point, the experience has been significantly worse than with my previous Linksys setup.
