Devices connecting to 1 Deco unit even if it's the further one away
Hi,
I have 2 Deco X50 POE set up, one in the front half of the house and another in the back half. The one in the front is he one connected to the NBN box.
For whatever reason it connects all my devices to the second unit only and refuses to keep connection to the one in the front even if I choose that one as the preferred option for each device. There's multiple devices that show low signal, yet it keeps the connection on the second unit.
Can anyone help with this?

Hi, welcome to the community.
Can I have the firmware version of your Deco X50-POE?
If possible, it is recommended to set the second X50-POE as the main Deco to see whether the same issue continues:

@David-TP
Hi,
FW version is 1.4.9 Build 20250110 Rel. 65349. The same for both Deco units.
When I set the second unit as the 'main deco', the whole system doesn't connection to the internet.

Hi, after setting the second Deco X50-POE as the main Deco, did you also plug this one via an Ethernet cable to the ISP gateway?
If there is an ISP WiFi router in front of the Deco, it is also recommended to set the Deco into "Access Point" mode:

hi,
So are you basically saying I need to swap the two deco's around and see if the problem persists?
I can't run this set up as access point mode as the first deco is acting as the modem connected to the ISP gateway (Opticomm)
