I am trying to get an IPV6 connection working on my MR600 router in France. (For some odd reason this forum complains if I put the name of the provider!) 

 

It is working OK when I select IPV4 as the PDP Type, and it continues to work (but IPV4 only) when I set PDP Type to IPV4 & IPV6.  If I set PDP Type to IPV6 only then I don't get a working connection.  Even with IPV4 & IPV6 I get no IPV6 address on my laptop.  The same laptop works perfectly well using IPV6 on my router in the UK.

 

Do I need to change anything else in Dial-up Settings  to get IPV6 to work?  The SIM is certainly supposed to provide IPV6 connections.

 

I am on the boat in France where the MR600 is installed at the moment so I can try things out quite easily.

 

Any/all help very welcome.

Hi, can you leave me a message here with your SIM service provider?

Here was a beta firmware for Archer MR600_V2, which supports 464Xlat, but it was quite older than your current firmware.

Please wait for a while and let me check with the senior engineer first to see if there is any other workaround.

  @David-TP It's a SIM from Free, is that what you wanted to know?  I got it in 2024.

  Thank you for your efforts.

 

I've installed the Beta firmware version but it seems to have made no difference.  I've selected the Free(default:2) profile.  It connects OK and I get IPV4 parameters but no IPV6.

 

I'm only here on the boat (where the MR600 is) for the rest of today (Saturday), I'm off back home again tomorrow so this may have to wait until the next time I'm here on the boat, probably in a few weeks time.
