This Article Applies to:

TP-Link 4G/5G routers

Background:

With More and more SIM service providers gradually implementing 464XLAT mechanism in their services, after inserting the SIM card into TP-Link 4G/5G routers, some users might report that there is no internet access or certain Apps/websites can't be accessed. When checking the internet status, the router obtains an IPv6 address without an IPv4 address.

Available Solution:

The following beta versions have introduced 464XLAT support.  It is suggested to install the specific version and check whether the reported issue can be fixed.

***Before downloading and updating the following beta firmware, please verify the model number and hardware version on the product label, especially the models with x.0, x.20, and x.30 versions. Please note that the x.0, x.20, and x.30 are different versions and are unable to use the same firmware.

  @Sunshine

Some changes were suggested by the Tplink Indian team, this makes the SIM gets registered and even MR600 V1 ( with latest beta firware ) shows its connected to internet, but no internet access from the LAN port or wireless

  @senpoos1

Hi, based on the screenshots, it is indeed connected to the internet when using IPv6 only, may I know what kind of client devices you are using? like iPhone or Android phones? Windows computer or MAC OS? Since the router is only using IPv6 to connect to internet, the client device must support IPv6 as well to access the internet.

In addition, could you please email support.forum@tp-link.com and provide the screenshots and logs again when using IPv4&IPv6, IPv4 only and also IPv6 only for comparison?

Hi, I guess the beta firmware mentioned by senpoos1 is from this post:
https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/579834

Besides, that beta firmware didn't solve Jio SIM issue yet, so you don't have to install it now.

Based on the screenshots of your router, you are now using IPv4&IPv6 as PDP Type when creating profile manually, could you please try IPv4 only and IPv6 only one by one to see if it makes any difference? Please share with us corresponding screenshots of Advanced->Status page and system log.

  @Sunshine Hi, Yes the MR-600 V1 says connected but even the Speed test built inside MR-600 says speed Zero and not connected to the internet. Only IPV6 matters and Authentication can be anything ( IPV4 does not connect at all ) . I have requested Jio to downgrade my SIM from 5G to 4G or else have to wait for thier AirFiber ( 5G CPE ) launch. LAN connected windows Devices and Wireless Connected laptops / Android Mobile does not get internet access from MR-600. IPV6 is selected in my laptop ( screenshot below ) . Will try to get the logs in IPV6 later ( IPV4 does not connect all - anyway will try to get both logs )

  @AD91 If it is possible, then I recommend you to return it & wait for jio air fiber(it's a 5G router). Because i am not satisfied with the technical support. I do not know what the hell tp-link india doing...
