Model: TL-MR6500v
Hardware Version: V12
Firmware Version: TL-MR6500v_1.0_1.3.0 Build 20240724

The hardware model is v1.20 (not listed)
It had previously the old firmware
It does not conenct with my ISP (Orange),
and then I tried with my neighbour SIM another ISP (SFR, which works well with his own MR6500V) and no service either

here is the log :

  @Yankee63

Hi, thank you very much for reaching out to us.

May I know how long you have had the TL-MR6500v?

You highlighted here "No service after upgrade". The last firmware for the MR6500v is 1.2.0 0.9.1 v00a1.0 Build 210812 Rel.51351n. So is the Orange SIM working well with the 1.2.0 firmware?

Could you please also send an email to support.forum@tp-link.com with the following details:

(Please add the forum ID 859520)

 Hello @David-TP

The firmware TL-MR6500v_1.0_1.3.0 Build 20240724 is the one which was proposed through the web interface update section.
We had a sluggish 3G connexion at a given moment, but could not download it, and then we downloaded it manually.
Please note this is a v1.20 hardware version (the forum does not allow me to choose this model exactly)
And the support web site gives me only two firmware files : the original one and this Build 20240724 version.

If the version you have mentioned is compatible with the v1.20 HW I would be happy to try it
where can I find it ?

To be able to send you screen capture I have to swap SIMs and antenna , I'll be able to do it later in the day

  @Yankee63

Hi, sorry. I guess there was some misunderstanding.

There isn't a newer firmware version than 1.3.0 Build 240724. Because the title said "No service after upgrade", I want to know whether the original firmware before the upgrade is

1.2.0 Build 210812. If it is, the engineer might be able to compare the release notes and narrow down the possible root cause.

Later, when you swap the SIM card back to Orange to check "Internet Status", you can also test whether setting "PDP type" to "IPV4 only" makes any difference:

Best regards.

Ah , ok So : yes, the original firmware was 210812 It was bought 2 years ago, as a backup/spare router (we live in countryside with no landlines). I did extensive tests with IPv4/v6, manual setting for diffents bands, used the proposed APN settings as the one I could find on the ISP support pages... I'll make these captures asap thanks for your help
