Hello Everyone,


Another exciting news! We're pleased to announce a new pre-release firmware for Deco X50/X55 models (V1.0/V1.6). This update greatly improved the system stability and accuracy of Client Identification in the Deco App. This firmware is currently in beta; however, your testing and feedback may help accelerate its official release!

 

This Article Applied to:

Deco X50(EU/US/JP/CA)/ Deco X55(EU/US/CA)_V1.0/V1.6

 

Firmware Medications:

  • Added WOL and IP&MAC binding.
  • Add Flow Control on the web UI to effectively prevent packet loss caused by network congestion.
  • Optimized Client Identification.
  • Improved 2.4GHz Wi-Fi stability.
  • Improved IPv6 firewall functionality.
  • Improved system stability and reliability.

  • Please be sure you have read the Beta Test Agreement before upgrading the Pre-release firmware!

  @David-TP hi.  I have 2 x50v1. . After update second Deco connect only 2.4ghz .  I cant change connection mode

after power off , After the reboot, the selection became available. I also disabled easymesh.

Right, The same for x50-poe... It is very sad

That is why I am starting to recommend different brand for my clients and mates.
 

It seems that TP-Link isn’t interested in improving the user experience for the entire system or series  – only for selected devices.

In my setup, I have an X50 Pro, an X50 and an X50-PoE – the Deco app displays features consistent with the main device, but incompatible  with others which makes the experience increasingly poor
Fortunately, the competition isn’t resting on its laurels...

And now an even bigger gap between X50 and X50-Outdoor which appears to have been put right at the back of the queue.

 

If TP-Link are going to keep alive a range (X50), they should keep the entire range alive, for those of us who have invested in your product thinking that you care about your customers.

 

TP-Link are consistently disappointing in this respect.
