Decos in exsiting PtMP
Hi!
I have basically what the picture shows here:

This is an existing PtMP network from one building to 3 others (all about 1 - 2 KM apart).
There is already a decent wired only router at the Basestation, and there is one AP in each building.
(one building has 2 APs). All existing APs are of different brands and coverage of each building is not optimal.
I would like to replace them all with Decos, and at least 2 of them at each location.
The question is if I could use 2 Deco X-50PoE in each building (8 Decos all together)
in AP mode where they both are wired together and powered via PoE switches. Will this work?

Hi,
Based on your description, your topology should be: basestaion )))((( Client -- PoE switch -- 2 * Deco X50-PoE in each building. If so, I think Deco can work in this topology in AP mode.

Hi, welcome to the community.
I'm confused regarding the network topology you described. Do you have a wired router at the base station, with PoE switches connected to the base station router in buildings 1, 2, and 3 to offer internet connection, and do you want to place two Deco X50-PoE in each building and at the base station to provide Wi-Fi connectivity for client devices within those buildings?
If so, what are the sizes of your base station and buildings 1, 2, and 3? How many floors are in each building?

Hi!
Basestation has a wireless PtMP link to the 3 bulidings.
This PtMP link is good but they only have 1 AP in each of the 3 bulidings.
Buildings are about 300 - 500 m2 concrete and concrete divider walls between rooms..
All rooms are on one floor but there is a small attic which is one open space above all rooms.
The plan is to connect up 2 or more Decos in each attic which will give signal
down into the rooms (becaus of concrete divider walls I think this is the best option).
So 2 or more X50 PoE Decos, and a PoE swicth connected to the wirelss PtMP client in each building.
Does this answer your questions?
