Using H200 hub and wireless cameras

Model: TL-MR6400
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version:

I have a Tapo H200 hub with 2 wireless cameras attached (both model C420s2). I’ve had real problems with them over the last 6+ months. I thought it might have been the TP Link mr6400 4g router that I ran them off(hard wired in to it) but they had been working well on that. But not any more. So I changed router today (more later). But that aside, there hasn’t been a picture in months, when on site or when away. I have re-booted and reinstalled the hub and cameras (many times). I have now changed the hubH200 to my Starlink router instead of the 4g mr6400. The Tapo app says they’re all ok and working well. Signal is great. But still no picture. Battery life on cameras is great. LED lights up when moving around, so they are detecting movement. Firmware is all up to date. Please can anybody help.

Check you havent accidentally enabled privacy mode. I also had issues if I disabled sound recording. Check also you havent disabled recording accidentally via the recording schedule. Good luck!

@BPCS thank you so much for your suggestions. I tried them as hadn't thought about recording (but privacy settings were already disabled). Nothing worked sadly. So I went away and did something else (as frustration pieces were quite high!) And 20 minutes later, I had a bit of a brainwave....I wondered about the SD card, so I thought 'what have I got to lose my swopping it'. Well, it was that. Who knew....?! The cameras are now working. So thank you stein for taking the time to respond - I'm really grateful. Warmest regards. Fiona

Hi,
Thank you for the updates, and glad to hear your case is resolved. Usually, you can refer to the instructions below to find a compatible microSD card for the Tapo camera.
microSD Card Compatibility for Tapo and Kasa Security Cameras

If the TL-MR6400 is working fine, but you have questions about the Tapo H200 & cameras, it's suggested to start a new thread here for assistance.

Best Regards
