Hello,

I already had contact with the chat support but they could not resolve my issue. If this persists I have to return my device as it is not possible to use it on a daily basis.

I am experiencing consistent forcefully shutdowns of the internet connection and I'm pretty sure it is due to the device overheating.

There are two ways I can provoke it:

  1. Run a large download with high LTE speeds (did not test it with slower bandwidth but I do not want to downgrade as I expect such a device to handle what it promotes). In general when the download is roughly larger than 20Gb it will at some point lead to connection loss.
  2. I always have problems during online meetings especially when using video in google meet or ms teams. It seems to me that the usage of upstream results in overheating a lot quicker and forcefully shuts down the connection.

I was advised by the support team to install the latest firmware version but the problem does persist.

Why I think it is related to overheating?

I noticed the following: When I restart the device the internal fan is spinning up shortly. But during the usage of the device the fan NEVER spins! While wondering why the device does not make any sound while running, I noticed there is a heat point in the middle of the device roughly at the first led.
I then started to test around and placed a fan under the device to force airflow through the router.

This solved the problem for me but of course is not a permanent solution as I can not run an external ventilation of the device all the time. Also as spring and summer are up ahead I can only think that the problems will increase as of the higher ambient temperature...

So I think there is an issue with your hardware/firmware not picking up internal temperatures the correct way to ramp up the internal fan.

Let me know how I can provide additional information to solve this issue as I would like to keep the device.

Hello,

I believe I have exact same issue as @Cruco

Are you planning to release firmware update for all the users?

If not yet could I also have this firmware update emailed.

The issue for me occurs, when traffic is high. Device is hot, but fun is not working. And then there is no connection anymore, after restarting fan is spinning for some time.

Hardware: Archer NX600 v1.0 00000000

Firmware Version: 1.3.0 3.0.0 v60c8.0 Build 251125 Rel.44626n

Hello

I have an even worse problem than @Cruco. It gets a great connection for 2 to 3 minutes, but then it turns off the Wi-Fi and restarts, again and again. Even with nothing connected to it.

It's because of the heating, because when I held my big ventilator against it, it stayed on.

It is also a brand new device.

Please help

  @Paldin

Hi,
Your case seems different from the other two cases. Please provide more details about the reported phenomenon.
  1. Have you powered the router with the original power adapter and cord from the package?
  2. What changes in the LED indicators in the router when the issue occurs?
Best Regards

Hello  @Solla-topee

Its the original power adapter that came with the router

And it only breaks connection when im connected with a device. I didn't know that before.

And the internet led goes out after 2 minutes the third led from the top this connection symbol stays for maybe another 2 minutes and the it restarts.

  @Solla-topee

It now works perfectly fine with a ventilator held against it but this cannot be the solution to constantly cool down the router.
