BE230 V2 firmware upload error
BE230 V2 firmware upload error
My 1 BE230 V2 is on 1.3.1 Build 20260106 rel.39388(4555) fw, there is two newly dated but oddly versioned firmware at your website:

1.1.6 and 1.1.7, both released after 1.3.1, and both gave me "Upload error." when I try to manually update to them. "Check for updates" button doesn't find new fw. May you fix this issue? fw 1.1.3 falsely named as 1.3.1, i think.
Also I'm repeating my 802.11r fast roaming feature support via EasyMesh for both BE230 V1 and V2 versions.

Hello All,
Please be advised that firmware v1.3.1 is an early-release version that already incorporates the features available in the v1.1.x series, as well as new functionalities planned for future releases. Since v1.3.1 is strategically positioned ahead of the v1.1.x series in terms of feature integration, there is no need to transition between these separate tracks.
We are preparing a unified firmware update that will synchronize all devices onto the same version path in the future.
Thank you.

Hi,
TP-Link's firmware upgrade mechanism only cares about the version number. The build date of the firmware is irrelevant.
Basically, what the note "This upgrade is irreversible and downgrade is not supported" means is that after upgrading to firmware version 1.3.1 it is not possible install a firmware with a version number lower than 1.3.1 via the regular web interface.

Yes, when the system is in the firmware Archer BE230(EU)_V2_1.3.1 Build 20260106 it does not allow to upgrade to the newest version available. Firmware Archer BE230(EU)_V2_1.1.6 Build 20260316 must be installed in Rescue Mode (https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/1482/ use the AX mode), and it will upgrade to 1.1.7 after that. But don't activate after the 1.1.7 the auto-upgrade function, as this will upgrade the router again to the 1.3.1 firmware and it will redo all the good changes introduced in latest builds!!

Hi,
I am interested to know whether the "Link Aggregation" feature introduced in firmware version 1.3.1 is also present in version 1.1.7 (or 1.1.6). Could you maybe check this for me? If that option exists, then it should be located in the "Advanced" -> "Network" -> "LAN" menu. Thanks.

Recovery Mode will erase all router settings and EasyMesh setup, right?

I can't get into recovery mode by holding down the buttons(WPS and tried others). How did you do that?

Hold WPS button when you switch on the router until the Power LED begins to flicker.

I tried many times, power LED begins to flicker, I setup IPs as in the guide, but cannot get into the router interface. Hope TP-Link solves this fw issue quickly and packed with new features
