Model: Deco BE25
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.7 Build 20260114 Rel. 14971

Hello,

I purchased a 3-piece deco package, and I want to connect them using an Ethernet cable, not Wi-Fi. My house walls are thick and the signal is slow.

Before buying, I thought I didn't need more than two ports, but I was wrong.

Now, judging from what I can see in another forum thread,

Option 1: Is it possible for a mesh system?
Or do I need to buy a switch? If so, will the LS1005G model be compatible with the BE25?
To avoid wasting my money, I wanted to ask before buying. I think I did that with the BE25.

Kind regards

Hi,
Please see the answers below for your questions.

1. If the modem is a modem router(not a pure modem without NAT function) and the Deco works in the AP mode, Option 1 is possible.

2. Usually, Deco nodes can work with the LS1005G. However, please note that the ports on the LS1005G are 1000Mbps ports, if your internet download/upload speed is more then 1000Mbps, the switch will limit the speed.

3. If your Deco nodes can connect as following: Modem -- main Deco BE25-- Deco BE25-- Deco BE25, there is no need a switch.

Best Regards
