Model: Archer VR600
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 0.9.1 v009e.0 Build 200507 Rel.67942n

Hello

I purchased this modem router a few weeks ago. Everything is fine except 3 devices drop WiFi connection with the router daily. The devices are

1. Samsung 58inch TV bought March2020

2. Google Home which I've had a few yrs

3. Blinx CCTV hub

There are other devices using the 2.4ghz band which don't disconnect at all (mobiles, sharp TV...) I've tried all sorts of settings to try and help but none of them do anything. The disconnection still happens and it can happen any time...it's not the same time everyday.

Please could anyone assist with my predicament? I will have to return this if I'm having no luck

Thanks

@Witsend

Thank you for posting on the TP-Link Community.

Are these Samsung 58inch TV/Google Home/Blinx CCTV hub connecting to the 2.4G network, does any of them support the 5G?

How far are those devices from the VR600, from what I can assume, there might be too much interference in the network, you are suggested to run a Wi-Fi analyzer on the phone or computer to verify which 2.4G channel is clearer, choose that one, change the wireless channel to 20MHz, change the security to WPA2-PSK, AES, then reboot the VR600 to confirm.

Additionally, please try to refer to this article to improve the wireless stability:

None of those support 5G. I think I've managed to settle it now temporarily....I've adjusted so many settings. Beacon interval to 75, RTS to 100, DHCP lease time to 2880, 2.4ghz on 20mhz, on channel 11. I've left encryption on Auto and mode is auto as I think I had some issues. Seems to be behaving finally, but will let you know.

Also forgot to mention...I've set the router to reset at 4am everyday....it's ridiculous really. Not happy with this product but I'm not buying another
