Model: Archer AX20
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.0 Build 20200929 rel.54838(4A50)

The router reboots randomly. I have the problem almost everyday.

I also checked the scheduled rebooting, but the setting was off.

I sent the router to support, but a new one, same model just came. The problem is still remain.

I found the other models have the same issues.

@Rintan

Hello, thanks for reporting the issue to the community, we would like to know more details which will help us analyze the special reboot issue you are experiencing.

When did you purchase it, does the reboot issue occur when you first installed it or is it happening after some special activity, such as high loading or streaming? Have you ever upgraded the router firmware or changed some setting on it when this issue begins to happen?

How often does the reboot issue occur? If possible, try to reduce the connected devices, modify the Transmit Power on the router to middle or low, then monitor again.

You can check the CPU & Memory utilization on the Network Map - scroll down the page and you will see it.

@Kevin_Z

Thanks for your quick response.

I purchased the router in November, 2020 and a new one came last month.

It seems that the reboot problem occurs totally randomly. It sometimes occur consecutively but usually 1~2 times per a day.

The number of devices is 2~3 and traffic is low. I attached the screenshot of performance monitor.

The router firmware was upgraded when it was setup.

Now, 2 devices are connected. One is Wi-Fi 5 (ac), the other is Wi-Fi 6 (ax). OFDMA, TWT and Smart Connect is enabled.

Have you tried to reset the router to factory defaults, then reconfigure it to confirm?

You may also try to disable the OFDMA to check if it helps.

My router is doing this too, I'd say randomly, not every day - looks to occur after it detects the "time has changed"

@pmj_hawks89

Just to confirm, who is your ISP? When the router reboots or the internet drops, how about the LEDs status?

Have you confirmed this with your ISP also? Please connect the computer directly to the ISP modem, check if it can maintain a stable internet connection. If yes, please try to clone the PC's MAC address to the AX20 by connecting this PC to the AX20 LAN port, then monitor again.

Please also confirm if you have enabled auto-reboot on the AX20, try to disable it, then confirm.

If the issue persists, please kindly send us the whole system log, including those before and after the dropouts, our engineer with try to investigate.

My ISP is "Aussie Broadband" I'm in Australia. The ISP doesn't provide a modem as such, it's called NBN (National Broadband Network) and that "modem" is in the garage so it is not possible to connect my PC to it. It is then cabled through the wall to the TP Link router WAN port.

Auto reboot is most definitely turned off.

The light status on the AX20 when this occurs is all off. It's rebooting, just power LED is on (far left) then they all come back on gradually like any other reboot.

My internet is very stable, this only occurs maybe once every couple of weeks (at least during they day when I am trying to work), it may occur overnight without my knowledge.

Here is the entire system log...
