Model: RE200
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 1.0.7

Today I bought a TP-Link Repeater to especifically boost my 5Ghz signal but it doesn't seem to find my network all of my neighbors appear but not mine. Is there any way to fix this?

I've read that maybe it could be from the channel the 5Ghz is in. The specific channel is 149, I don't know if this could help.

@SnakeJuice Hello,

Please check the back of Range extender, it is an EU version or US version range extender?

If RE could see your neighbors Wi-Fi not your router's Wi-Fi, that is normally related to Channel,

May I know the Model of your router, it is recommend to contact router support and change to Band 1 channel if possible, 5Ghz channel : 36/40/44/48/

It's the EU version. But I've contacted my internet provider and they said that is not possible to change the channel of the 5Ghz signal, so I don't know what to do really

My router model is Arris TG2492LG

@SnakeJuice Hi,

Thank you for your update, it is recommended to contact Arris support and double confirm if Arris support changing Wi-Fi channel or not.

And also check which 5Ghz channel your Arris router is currently using?

If the router's channel is On Auto, you may try to reboot router as router channel will change after several reboots (but this will require multiple reboots until router adopts a Non- Band4 channel )

Band1:36-48;
Band2:52-64;
Band3:100-140;
X Band4:149-165.
