Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.12.0 Build 221010 Rel. 35508n (5553)

Hello; I can't make my Archer C80 to work in mesh mode. I can't see any option on the system configuration page. Also, I have two RE200 extenders connected but non botth are telling that my main router has no the mesh functionality. I will thank any advise to fix this problem.

Hi,

Make sure that "Operation Mode" on the C80 is set to "Router Mode", because the Mesh features are not available in "Access Point Mode".

@woozle I Understand. But in my network, an Omada ER605 is the main router, and I need this one to be the one working as DHCP server. No problem?

Unfortunately, that's the way it is right now.

Check out question 7 in the official Q&A: https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/2690/

Ok, that's good.

So you have connected the Omada router to one of the C80's LAN ports, connected nothing to the C80's WAN port, disabled the DHCP server in the C80 and OneMesh works just fine?

@woozle Omada is the one who receive Internet on the WAN port, and it is also my home DHCP server. One of here LAN port is going to a switch, and from there one port is going to the C80 (in a LAN port). C80 is working as routere but with DHCP off, and it provides the Mesh WIFI (playing with two RE200) to my house. And I am sure now that I can go to any part of my house, passing trough all the available anthenas without loosing connection. And I am sure because I trying by connecting through the Internet with a remote tcp/ip server and the client application can tell me if I lose the connection. Before Mesh, it was impossible for me to do that.

Thanks for posting all the details! It's good to hear that this works.

So you are actually using the Archer C80 successfully as an access point with OneMesh, just not via the dedicated "Access Point Mode" feature of the C80, but instead by converting your router into an access point via the "workaround" method that people use for routers that don't have a dedicated "Access Point Mode" setting.

I wonder why TP-Link doesn't make OneMesh available in their "Access Point Mode" then?

Thats great news. I have 3 ethernet linked C64's. If I switch them to EasyMesh do I essentially get a wired seamless mesh system, or do I drop the cabled connection between routers for WiFi?
