Hi there,

I recently updated the firmware to the above version which made 4g connectivity very unstable, with the 4g light flashing on and off on the router.

Since yesterday morning, the 4g light has not come on, so has been permanently off. My devices can find the wifi network signal, and they can connect to the router but there is no internet connectivity.

I have tried the following actions so far:

1. Reboot router

2. Factory reset router

3. Changing the bands from '1,3,20' back to 'auto' select.

4. My carrier is Lyca. I am able to connect to 5G network using my lyca sim and mobile phone.

5. When I use app LTE Discovery on my mobile phone with Lyca sim, it shows Band 1 and Band 3 are the bands used.

I am not a technical person and can just about manage to 'plug and play', so I am really stuck with the router not working. I have to work from home and am having great difficulty with the router no longer working.

Please help!

Thanks

I have now managed to follow the instructions to update the DNS server as follows:

+++

Solution: go to Advanced->Network->LAN Settings, change “Primary DNS” to “8.8.8.8”, change the “Secondary DNS” to “8.8.4.4”, then save it.

+++

I now have internet connection but still no 4g light on the router, and the internet speed is only 42 kbps upload.

Can someone please assist me to resolve the issue?

Thanks

I have tried getting in touch with your online support through the app and through this website but have been unable to obtain any useful support. Since there are no replies and no assistance in actual fixing the broken router, I will return it and buy a new router that actually works. I have had this router for 3 weeks now and it only worked properly and consistently for the first few days. I will search for a more reliable router online.

  @Jo88

Hi, hope the router is still with you and it is not too late. The LED you mentioned is 4G+ instead of 4G, it will only light up when the router works on 4G+. So when it works on 4G instead of 4G+, it is normal that it will stay off even though internet works fine.

For the 4G+ not working issue, it is recommended to troubleshoot by following this thread: Carrier Aggregation or 4G+ doesn’t work properly on LTE Advanced Router
