Model: Archer AX20
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.8 Build 20230830 rel.19767(4555)

How to confirm if I can connect RE605X with my Archer AX20 v1.0 through EasyMesh or OneMesh?

Please advise.

Great advice. I save existing configuration for AP mode. When I converted to router mode, I got OneMesh option visible.

The RE605X is now working fine as range extender in OneMesh mode with my AX20 V1 upgraded firmware router.

AX20 v1.0 supports OneMesh only and RE605X can be connected in mesh with this router.

Currently my AX20 is in bridge mode or AP mode. Is this the reason I am unable to see OneMesh configuration area when I log into its management WebUI?

Yes, Onemesh is available only when AX20 is in router mode.

I got another reply from TP-Link. The RE605X supports OneMesh, but doesn't support EasyMesh.

OneMesh: https://www.tp-link.com/us/onemesh/product-list/#range-extenders
EasyMesh: https://www.tp-link.com/us/easymesh/product-list/#range-extenders

However, only Archer AX20 V4 supports Onemesh feature. Mine is V1.

The latestest frimware of the Archer AX20 V1 also doesn't support the Onemesh feature.

The easiest way to check if your AX20 v1 (US region FW) has Onemesh feature implemented is to make a configuration backup, switch AX20 to router mode and check for Onemesh menu on the left pane.

Then restore the configuration of AX20 from the backup file.

Regarding RE605X - either Onemesh or Easymesh implemented it should be able to connect in mesh with AX20 v1 given that AX20 has Onemesh implemented.

I am using AX20 v1 (EU region FW) wich is Onemesh compatible for sure.
