Model: Archer AX73   RE200
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.0.12 Build 20231023 rel.42641(5553)
Good afternoon. I tell you my problem in the hope that you will help me or give me a solution.

I have a newly purchased Archer Ax73 V2 with the latest firmware 1.0.12 Build 20231023 rel.42641(5553) and 2 RE200 AC750 extenders with the latest firmware 1.0.23 Build 230418 Rel.60395n (6582).

My intention is to make a small but wired mesh network, that is, an Ethernet backhaul to maximize signal quality to each repeater.

When you configure the easy mesh network everything works perfectly, roaming is imperceptible and everything is fine.

But when you connect a network cable, the network becomes unstable, the satellites ping and they start losing packets. It's as if there was a routing problem (I think) and in less than a minute, my entire network goes down (everything, from the main router, I lose management and all the devices lose access to the internet). When I disconnect the cable that goes to the satelite RE200 everything goes back to normal (internet on all my devices, and the management of the ax73 and the re200). Also, he tried the re200 one by one and together.

Obviously the first thing that comes to mind when troubleshooting is that there is a physical problem between the router and the RE200, but they work perfectly in traditional wired repeater mode (non-mesh). Both RE200 work well in wired extender mode (without mesh), therefore I rule out problems in the wiring or physical ETH port. Anyway the cables are standard Cat6, I tried several and did "laboratory" tests in my house, with different cables, resetting the 3 devices to manufacturing mode several times and I did not find a viable solution with the options offered by the TPLINK GUI.

Has anyone had this problem? I am doing something wrong? any suggestions?

TY

I'm not sure on this but I believe the RE200 extenders do not yet support EasyMesh ethernet backhaul.

@jra11500 I'm not sure either. Does anyone know if there is a list like with routers to find out about Ethernet backhaul support? Do you know of any recommended economical model that may have this function?
