many bugs on the GUI , signal drops , random DHCP bugs.

I'm using under PPPOE protocol with optical fiber.

the WiFi signal constantly drops , all devices , sometimes 20/25 times per minutes .

DHCP suddenly randomly bugs too , even wired Eth connection and IP are randomly losing connection .
urgent firmware update requested !

@Dwarfi_Haarlem

Sorry to hear that you're still experiencing issues with the Archer BE800.

When the internet drops for both Wi-Fi and wired devices, what is the status of the BE800's LED light? Please let us know its condition during the issue.

Since version 1.1.6 includes significant changes, I recommend resetting the router to factory defaults and reconfiguring it from scratch, then monitoring the connectivity again.

If the issue persists, we would like to gather more details for further investigation:

1. How many devices are connected to the BE800 network and what are they?

2. Are all devices experiencing the issue, or is it limited to specific ones?

3. Are there any EasyMesh routers or extenders connected to the BE800? If so, what are their models? If you disconnect them and connect the client devices directly to the BE800, does the connection remain stable?

Hello TP-Link team, I'm observing a really strange behaviour/bug with my brand new Archer BE800.
My setup is pretty simple, the BE800 is in AP mode and connected to my ISP Router (Freebox Delta) through a 10G SFP Ipolex DAC, Homeshield/Security features seem to be disabled.
I have great download speeds whenever I'm using a secured/encrypted protocol (https for example), but then when I download a file throught an unencrypted protocol (http in this case) the download speed drops and the download eventually fails.

You'll find download speeds from the same server (https://scaleway.testdebit.info/), first picture using https/443 and the second one using http/80 (same server, same file) :

Forgot to say, I'm using the lastest firmware provided by TP-Link (1.1.6 Build 20240808 rel.26673(4555)).
Thanks for your help !

When working in AP Mode, HomeShield is not available. Some advanced features are only available when the router is working in Router mode. Please check this FAQ for more details: What’s the Difference Between Access Point Mode and Router Mode on A TP-Link wireless Router?

The download speed might not be constrained by the BE800 but could be limited by the file server.

It is recommended to utilize dedicated download tools, such as Internet Download Manager, for improved file transfer performance.

Hello  @Kevin_Z,

Thanks for the clarification regarding Homeshield !

Obviously the server is not in cause here, as I would get very bad download speeds in https too. Just to make sure I've tried downloading from the embedded NAS of my ISP Router and get the same results and failing downloads.
I've made some more testing and found out the problem is only happening when the BE800 is connected through the 10G SFP Port, using the 10G RJ45 Port everything's fine (in 1G mode though, my ISP Router only has 1G RJ45 Ports) I get the right speeds (here in http/80) :

Could you investigate this case further ?
Thanks in advance !

@Bgirka13

Thank you very much for your thorough testing.

Could please provide the specific model number of your ISP Router that the BE800 is connected to? We will escalate the case to our support engineers for further investigation.

BTW, are other internet services working properly, except for the download speed when connected through the SFP+ port?

Thank you very much :) It's the Freebox Delta, you can find more informations here : h t t p s: / /www.busyspider.fr/Free-freebox-delta-presentation-server-player-devialet-fonctionnalites-caracteristiques-services-associes.php, if needed I'll send you the exact revision of my router.

I've also ordered another SFP DAC cable to make sure the one I've got is not faulty, I'll let you know if I ever get better results !

Hello Kevin,

Just to give you an update on my case, I've just received an AOC cable, and it definitely solved the problem :)

I've also tried other DACs which gave even worse results (link would not bring up with the first, the second one gave so much packet loss I couldn't start any transfer).

So thank you very much for your wise advice and thank you Fitz :)

I now get more than 2 Gbits/s wirelessly which is kind of impressive :

Thank you very much for your valuable update and feedback.

I'm more than happy to hear that swapping the DAC cable for an AOC cable resolved the download speed issue!
