Model: Archer AXE75
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.1 Build 20240607 rel.74966(4341)

It appears that my AXE 75 finally has the firmware for Easymesh and ethernet backhaul.

Since I'm lazy I thought I'd just pick up another AXE 75 and drop in a Ethernet cable between them.  Yes I do have a couple of AX 55s lying around but the AXE 75 seems to have a bit more range.

My question is do I just plug it inout of the box or do I need to update the firmware first?

Thanks John

Hi,

There is likely still some stock of Archer AXE75 in the supply chain that doesn't already have firmware version 1.2.0 or later.

So it would certainly be worthwhile to check the firmware version of the new AXE75 first and, in case the installed version was lower than 1.2.0, update it to the latest version.

Hi, what  @woozle suggest is correct.

You may refer to this guide when adding satellite router to set up Easymesh Ethernet backhaul.
