  @Kevin_Z

So with this firmware, I should be able to have 2 TL-WA3001 APs connected by Ethernet to a router, and one of them can be the primary Easymesh device?

You are correct. You can connect one of the WA3001 to the main router via Ethernet cable and configure it into AP Mode, then connect the other WA3001 to the first one via EasyMesh Wireless. The topo would be like the below:

Main router --- Ethernet cable --- WA3001 (AP Mode) ))) wireless ((( 2nd WA3001

Yes. As you can see from the firmware release notes, it supports EasyMesh when working in AP Mode. That means it can establish a mesh network with other EasyMesh Routers or extenders when it works in AP Mode.

  @Kevin_Z

Two questions

1) if there is planned support for easymesh on the WA3001, why doesn't it appear on the list of supported devices as "planned", there isn't even a category for access points

2) when will this FW be pushed to the official FW? I am interested in some of these features, (not easymesh, at least not in the near term with the current available HW) but I don't want to mess with beta FW

Once the official firmware is ready, we will add it to the EasyMesh Product List. Thanks for your feedback.

Regarding the ETA of the official firmware, I'm afraid I cannot provide a definitive timeline. The release may take longer than expected, as our team is committed to ensuring that the official software meets the highest standards of performance and reliability.
