Hi, TP-Link Support (and everyone).
I have an issue with new deployment of set of Deco X50-PoE V2 firmware 1.4.4. This is in place deployment, replacing M9 Plus and M5 on the same network with same network layout, which worked fine for 4 years. All switches are TP-Link.
Deco mesh runs in Access Point mode.
Problem description: Deco mesh does not properly handle Satellite Deco 2.5Gigabit port connection to switch or router gigabit port. It works correctly when connected to switch or router 2.5Gigabit port.
Expected outcome: Using Ethernet cable, connect Satellite Deco X50-PoE V2 to gigabit port of a switch, Deco app should report Ethernet backhaul for Satellite Deco.
Actual Outcome: Satellite Deco uses Ethernet backhaul, but in Deco app it is reported as WiFi backhaul. Speed tests with wired to Satellite Deco PC confirm it is Ethernet backhaul negotiated at gigabit link speed. Switch LEDs show active Ethernet port.
If Satellite Deco rebooted, after reboot it appears as offline in Deco app - while its LED is Green, it provides WiFi coverage and uses Ethernet for backhaul.
---------------------
More detailed info.
This is working configuration, one Main and two Satellite Deco, all hardwired to switch:
Deco mesh reports everything online and healthy.
This is how I can reliably reproduce the issue every time:
To reproduce issue, what is needed to do is add gigabit switch to network layout, and connect Satellite Deco through it for issue to appear. Deco mesh reports Satellite Deco either offline or using WiFi backhaul, while running speed tests on PC hardwired to that Satellite Deco proves it is online and uses Ethernet backhaul.
Note that I used TL-SG1005D gigabit switch with M9 Plus/M5 for a long time, until I replaced it with TL-SG108S-M2 in preparation to X50-PoE deployment. Both switches are without issues.
------------------
I can't tell if problem present in firmware 1.0.3 and 1.0.6 Deco X50-PoE had before. After deploying each Deco unit I've got prompt to update firmware to 1.4.4, which I did.
Firmware 1.4.4 was just released in Deco app (for Canada at least), if this is not some sort of an isolated issue, expect escalations from people who use gigabit switches with X50-PoE V2 connected to them.
Because X50-PoE V2 has both Ethernet ports at 2.5Gbps, there is no workaround for someone using gigabit switch. Both ports exhibit same problem.
For someone who uses gigabit switches with X50-POE V2 and/or connects Satellite Deco X50-POE V2 in AP mode to ISP Router gigabit port, I would recommend not to upgrade to 1.4.4 until TP-Link Support verifies my bug report.

@Alexandre. Happy New Year and Thank you very much for the feedback.
Could you please help me submit the Deco APP log-
There is a beta firmware that is based on the latest 1.4.4 version which might help with the current issue. If you are interested, you can find it in the private message.
Wait for your reply and best regards.
